Stuffed Bananas


  • 5 Ripe Bananas
  • 1/2 Cup Cilantro
  • 1 Green Chili
  • 1/2 inch Ginger
  • 1 Lemon Juice
  • 4 Tbsp Oil
  • Salt to taste


  • Wash and cut Bananas with skin into 3 inch pieces (3 per banana)
  • Cut a cross in the Banana on just one side
  • Take Cilantro, Chili, Ginger, Lemon, Salt, and grind coarsely to make a pesto
  • Stuff the Cilantro Pesto into the cut Banana
  • Heat Oil in a pan
  • Shallow fry Bananas till skin turns brown

This delectable dish can be served as an appetizer. Or paired with a protein. Remove the skin and add a dollop of Vanilla ice-cream to make an unusual desert, sweet salty and spicy!
